General
What is FlexPomo?
FlexPomo is an adaptive Pomodoro timer for iPhone and iPad, built for every brain. It uses Focus Rings, adaptive goals, and Sprint mode to help you focus without streak shame — whether you have ADHD, experience time blindness, or just want a calmer focus tool.
Who is FlexPomo for?
Anyone who’s tried a Pomodoro app and bounced off the rigid structure. Especially helpful if you have ADHD, experience time blindness, work in creative bursts, or just want a calmer focus tool.
Is FlexPomo a medical or therapy app?
No. FlexPomo is a productivity tool. It is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition — including ADHD, autism, anxiety, or time blindness. For health concerns, consult a qualified professional.
Getting Started
How do I start a focus session?
Open FlexPomo, pick a session length (or tap start for the default), and watch the rings fill. That’s it — no onboarding maze, no account, no setup tax.
Does FlexPomo require an internet connection?
No. FlexPomo works entirely offline. iCloud sync is optional and uses your private iCloud — no FlexPomo servers are involved.
Do I need to sign up or create an account?
No. There is no sign-up. Download, open, focus.
Focus Rings & Adaptive Goals
What are Focus Rings?
Outer, middle, and inner rings chart your daily focus progress at a glance — inspired by Apple Watch activity rings, but tuned for deep work. Every minute fills a ring; every ring closes a day.
What makes the goals “adaptive”?
Targets evolve with your patterns. Had a great week? FlexPomo nudges you gently forward. Rough few days? It meets you where you are. No punishment, no streak shame — just an honest reflection of your rhythm.
What is Sprint mode?
A quick 5 or 10-minute session for low-energy days, post-lunch slumps, or easing back after a break. Any focus counts.
Sounds
How many ambient sounds are included?
20+ sounds across nature, music, and focus noise — forest canopy, gentle rain, ocean waves, lo-fi piano, warm saxophone, coffee shop, white/brown/pink noise, mechanical keyboard, fireplace, library murmur, and more.
Can I play my own music alongside FlexPomo?
Yes. FlexPomo uses background audio with gapless looping, so your music app can keep playing alongside a focus track.
What is the Sound Mixer (Pro)?
Blend two ambient tracks, adjust their volumes independently, and save your favorite mixes. Rain over lo-fi. Forest under piano. Your atmosphere, your way.
FlexPomo Pro
What’s in FlexPomo Pro?
- Sound Mixer — blend two ambient tracks
- Analog Countdown — Time Timer-style visual disk
- Focus Projects — per-project analytics and history
- Weekly Insights — on-device AI summaries (where Apple Intelligence is available)
- Custom Themes — premium light/dark palettes
All future Pro features are included in the subscription.
Is there a free trial?
Yes — a 7-day free trial is available once per Apple ID. Cancel any time before day 7 to avoid a charge.
How much does Pro cost?
FlexPomo Pro is a recurring subscription billed by Apple. The price shown in the App at the time of purchase is the authoritative price for your region.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed through Apple, not through us:
- iOS / iPadOS: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → FlexPomo
- App Store: Account → Subscriptions
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain Pro access until the period ends.
How do I request a refund?
All payments are handled by Apple. Refund requests must be submitted through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We do not process refunds directly.
How do I restore my Pro purchase on a new device?
Sign in with the same Apple ID, open FlexPomo, and tap Restore Purchases on any Pro screen. Your subscription will be recognized automatically.
Privacy & Data
Does FlexPomo collect my data?
No. FlexPomo is built without a backend. There are no accounts, no analytics SDKs, no trackers, no advertising — we couldn’t collect your data even if we wanted to, because there’s nowhere for it to go.
See our Privacy Policy for details.
Where is my session data stored?
Locally on your device via Apple’s SwiftData framework. If you enable iCloud sync, your data is also stored in your private iCloud container managed by Apple. FlexPomo cannot read either.
Can I export my data?
Yes. CSV export is available to all users — free forever. Open Settings → Export to download your full session history.
How do I delete my data?
Delete the FlexPomo app from your device to remove all local data. To remove iCloud data, go to Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Storage → FlexPomo and delete the container.
iCloud Sync
How does sync work?
FlexPomo uses Apple’s CloudKit framework to sync your sessions, projects, and settings across your own iPhones and iPads. It uses your private iCloud container — we do not have a FlexPomo server.
Why are my sessions not syncing?
Check:
- You’re signed into the same Apple ID on both devices
- iCloud Drive is enabled in system Settings
- iCloud sync is enabled in FlexPomo’s settings
- Your internet connection is working
If issues persist, toggle iCloud sync off and on in FlexPomo, and give the system a few minutes to reconcile.
Widgets, Live Activities & Siri
How do I add the Focus Rings widget?
Long-press your Home Screen or Lock Screen, tap +, search for FlexPomo, and pick the size that fits your layout.
Can I start a session with Siri?
Yes. Try: “Hey Siri, start a 25-minute focus session” or create Shortcuts automations for your own flows.
Does the Dynamic Island work during focus sessions?
Yes — on iPhone 14 Pro and later. Your active session stays pinned to the Dynamic Island; tap to check progress or long-press for controls.
Platforms
What devices does FlexPomo support?
FlexPomo runs on iPhone and iPad (iOS 26 / iPadOS 26 and later).
Is there a Mac or Apple Watch version?
Not yet. Mac and Apple Watch support is on the roadmap.
What about older iOS versions?
FlexPomo uses the latest Apple platform APIs and requires iOS 26 or iPadOS 26. Older versions are not supported.
Troubleshooting
The app is not making any sound during sessions
Check your device’s silent/ring switch and the volume level. FlexPomo respects the system audio routing and Focus modes, so ambient sounds may pause if a Focus mode is configured to silence audio.
My session history is missing
If iCloud sync is enabled, open Settings → FlexPomo and make sure iCloud access is allowed. Then toggle iCloud sync in FlexPomo off and back on to trigger a re-sync.
How do I report a bug or request a feature?
We read every message:
- E-mail: contact@thehardway.pl
- Website: https://thehardway.pl
Please include your device model, iOS version, and a short description of what you saw — it helps us reproduce issues faster.
